E-commerce changing businesses: expert

JAMSHEDPUR: E-commerce has effected radical changes in the business sector providing Net-enabled market for all manufacturing sectors, Ranjit Goswami, business manager of India Markets, a leading e-commerce service provider to corporates in India and South East Asia said.

E-business has changed the traditional process of business and could remove inefficiencies of the market and thereby helps to add new dimension to business by increasing revenue and profit, he said at a seminar "Efficient sourcing and reaching out to new markets," organised by Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday.

It allowed prospective buyers and sellers to meet each other at any time without any cost, he said, adding online trading was increasing rapidly across the globe and by 2003 most of the business houses would be connected through e-commerce evaluated market place.

Chamber president Nirmal Kabra urged entrepreneurs to take advantage of e-commerce for cost control and 

better market.
